Disk Cleanup Using CAD/CAM Connector (CEREC Primescan)

Overview

This guide explains how to free up disk space on a CEREC Primescan PC using the built-in CAD/CAM Connector cleanup tool. This method is recommended for safely removing old scan data and system files without affecting active cases.

Procedure: Disk Cleanup via CAD/CAM Connector

Step 1: Open CAD/CAM Connector

Go to the System Tray (bottom-right corner of screen)
Click the white magnifying glass icon
- Labeled: DI / CAD-CAM Connector

Step 2: Launch Cleanup Tool

Click “Free Up Disk Space”
- Menu location may vary slightly depending on system version

Step 3: Select Files to Delete

Choose files based on age (older cases recommended)
Select the Drive Letter:
- Usually D: drive for Primescan systems

Step 4: Execute Cleanup

Click “Free Up Disk Space” again to confirm
Wait for the system to complete deletion
